Baldur's Gate is one of the most popular games ever released. The last Baldur's Gate game was September 21st, 2000, nineteen years ago.

Out of nowhere Larian Studios announces Baldur's Gate 3 and has an announcement trailer out.

Baldur's Gate is a Dungeon & Dragons RPG game and is very similar to Pillars of Eternity I reviewed a couple of days ago. In fact, Pillars of Eternity took a lot of inspiration from Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale.

If this looks interesting to you, you could try the original games but they are pretty dated. I would recommend catching up on the story just by watching some YouTube videos.
