I just got my botanizing skill to 70. Why botanizing? Err... I love collecting things and the coins thrown in occasionally by our kind kings!
I found Wurm Online when I was looking for games that allow real money trading. Not that I hoped to get rich, but when I sometimes suffer from insomnia I spend long hours in front of a game grinding, and I wanted the opportunity to get something back. Well, that was the plan, and then I fell in love with Wurm and will only quit it when the servers shut down.
Even then I would not necessarily have to quit, because there is another version of the game named Wurm Unlimited. It is a somewhat altered version of the game that allows players to run servers, but this concept has never won my heart though I have to admit I really miss some older, officially shut down games by now.
However, Wurm is a slow game. It is nothing for those yearning for action. It is fantastic for those who enjoy accomplishing goals with some effort. In fact, Wurm could be a little faster - but it isn't. There is a currency connected to real money in it, a closed system, and the slowness is part of maintaining its value. I am playing for maybe 80 days now, went in my second premium phase recently and FINALLY I achieved the very first goal I made :D
Next goal? Getting the botanizing skill to 90. I still love collecting things.
