Today after playing some Pokémon GO with the people we usually take over some Gyms with, we decided to go for a Galarian Weezing Raid in the shopping street. As one of them didn't do a Raid yet today, well same for me. So three of us went for that one. We only had level 3 and 4 Raids up at the time. After that I kept walking around a bit with one of them. We saw some level 5 show up but he wasn't really up for it. I posted it in the raid group chat and someone said they were interested, but then removed their message. At another Gym another level 5 was also going to hatch, but would still take over half an hour. The person I was walking around with was almost gonna go home, so I decided to go home as well. But I did keep the game open at home to see what would hatch from it was I was still in range to see that Gym.
That Raid became a Latias, and I saw another Gym near that one suddenly had a Latias Raid too. Which would end faster than the Gym I was keeping an eye on, despite not having seen a level 5 Raid on that Gym. Then again yesterday when we took over the Gym, like 2 minutes after taking it over there was a Latias Raid on it for like 28 minutes. So it never had an Egg on it, and then the Raid didn't even last the full 45 minutes which was really confusing.
Anyway I posted a picture of both Latias Raids in the group to see if anyone was interested. There was response to this one from some people, so I put myself on the list too and got ready to leave. After that one we did the other nearby one too. Then we saw there was a Latios on the market square, so we went for that Raid as well. When we defeated it and were catching the Latios one got a message about a 100% IV Magikarp in a neighbouring city. They were gonna try to get it as three of them were with the car. They asked the other person and me who were there by foot if we wanted to join as well as they still had 2 spots in the car. So we joined and successfully got that 100% IV Magikarp as you can see below.
None of us were lucky to get a Shiny. It would've been really cool if one of us did. After that when we were driving back there was another Raid so we stopped for that one too. Then when back in our city there were several level 5 Raids open or still hatching. We went for one Latios and then went back to a Gym we passed as that Raid would be hatched by then and did another Latios there. Another nearby Raid was next on the list then. We had already seen another one that we'd go do as well. The other person who was by foot did have to start going home then, so he left us and I still went to the next one by car.
Afterwards we had another level 5 Raid in the city so we went for that one as well and there was one in the shopping street too so we went to that one as well. On the Gym we started off at there was a new level 5 Raid now, not surprising as over 2 hours already passed since we did that first Raid there. Someone else who was interested in a level 5 Raid was going to come to that Raid too so we waited for him a bit. Once we defeated that Raid and caught it I decided to go home. I was not too far away from home anyway as it was the Gym we started at, and for the others it was their last Raid too. Everyone was starting to get a bit hungry. I thanked them for the Raids and for allowing me to go with them by car and then I went home.
What I thought would be a 20 minute trip turned out into like an over 2 hour, even close to 3 hours trip. Which was nice! I lost track but we did either 9 or 10 Raids. Some of the Latios ran away, but they were never that high CP whenever I didn't catch it. And that 100% IV Magikarp is definitely the star of this trip!
This was the last day of the weekend with more Latias and Latios Raids, so we liked to do a bunch of those. Did you do any of them during this weekend?
