With my first Sinnoh Stone obtained from the Research Breakthrough reward it was time to evolve my first Pokémon of the 11 that can be evolved with this evolution item. I talked about it in my last blog post where I said I was choosing between Rhyhorn and Sneasel to evolve first.
My pick ended up being Sneasel. As its evolution, Weavile, is a great Dark and Ice-type attacker. Whereas Rhyhorn final evolution, Rhyperior, is a good Rock and Ground-type attacker. Groudon is better in the Ground aspect and Tyranitar from the Larvitar Community Day with Smack Down are better Rock attackers. I will still get Rhyperior, probably as the next one to use a Sinnoh Stone on.
The choice between my 100% IV Sneasel and Lucky Sneasel wasn't hard to make. Sure the Lucky one would cost me less Stardust to power up. But it had lower stats, so I definitely favoured the 100% over that one. Chances of getting a Lucky 100% IV aren't so high.
Here it is, my Weavile. I did forget to take a screenshot right after evolving it, so the first screenshot my Weavile already received one power up. It was at 1288 CP when I evolved it. As I only had 227 Sneasel Candy prior to evolving it, I knew I would have to spend some Rare Candy to get it fully powered up. I had to spend 140 Rare Candy to get enough Sneasel Candy for it.
At first my Weavile knew Feint Attack and Foul Play, I used a few Charged TMs to get it to change to Avalanche. I was done with the power ups just in time for a Giratina Raid with a group of people. Then I could immediately take my Weavile into battle against it! As Giratina has weaknesses to both Dark and Ice-type attacks it made my Weavile a great new attacker against it.
After the Raid I traded my Giratina with someone as it wasn't a particularly high IV one. It became Lucky for both of us! That was really awesome to see! It's my second Lucky Legendary Pokémon. The IV is not so good as it only has 1899 CP, so I'm not sure if I'll be keeping it. It's definitely great to have it Lucky in my Pokédex though! :D
