This past week we've had the Third Ultra Unlock Week, which was the Unova Week. In this week Unova was celebrated, focusing on some Pokémon from the Unova region appearing more frequently in the wild, Raids, 7 km Eggs and as Field Research Task encounter rewards.
Genesect was supposed to be in EX Raids starting earlier this year, a while after its Special Research "A Drive to Investigate", but has been postponed due to lockdowns all over the world. With Remote Raiding and inviting friends to Raids being available for a while now, it was time for Genesect to arrive in regular Raids throughout Unova Week. Prior to this week players who purchased the ticker for A Drive to Investigate were already reward with a Genesect, which was my first Genesect. A while ago we had the Throwback Event, completing all of them unlocked a Throwback Challenge Special Research which was the second chance for players to get Genesect. As I didn't rush through it, and then heard news about Shiny Genesect I decided to just keep my Throwback Challenge at the last step. Then when Unova Week started, I claimed that one and got my Genesect encounter, which turned out to be Shiny!! XD It was definitely worth for me to keep it for a bit! You can notice this on my Genesect's CP too, as a Genesect from Raids (non-weather boosted) ranges between 1833-1916 CP.

Throughout the week I managed to catch two more Shiny Genesect from Raids. They weren't the best IV either. My best IV Genesect, not Shiny, from Raids was a 93% which unfortunately has 13 Attack. The second best is a 91% with 15 Attack. I haven't decided yet if I'll power one up or not.
As for the spawns in the wild we could see a lot more Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Patrat, Lillipup, Purrloin, Blitzle, Roggenrola, Dwebble, Minccino, Karrablast and Shelmet. Additionally Shiny Roggenrola became available, meaning Shiny Boldore and Shiny Gigalith can be obtained now too by evolving. We also got a few new Pokémon added to the game from the Unova Region, these are Cottonee, Sewaddle, Emolga and Bouffalant. Bouffalant is a regional Pokémon though, spawning in and around the area of New York. In this next picture you can see my first encounters with Cottonee, Sewaddle and Emolga and their respective Pokédex registries.

Out of these three new ones, Cottonee is the one I encountered the most. The best IV I got for any of the 3 goes to Emolga as I was able to encounter and catch a 98% IV Emolga. It's kinda too bad with it lacking that 1 stat though, but at least worth keeping! One day I got a Field Research to make 5 Nice Throws, which rewards Voltorb. To my surprise I got a Shiny Voltorb from it, that is my first ever Shiny Voltorb! :D
This week has been really nice for 100% IVs in the wild! I was walking around one day, and then I was likely going to turn to the right, but some friends were not too far on the left from there and they told me there was a 100% there, which turned out to be a Roggenrola. Now I have two of them, missing just one to get a full set of its evolution line. Yesterday when I was walking around with a friend we encountered a 100% IV Karrablast. Today after a Genesect Raid someone said they had just caught a 100% IV Koffing nearby and I was able to go catch that one too!

To wrap it up, I did manage to get some Shiny Genesect then which is great. No Shiny Roggenrola, but at least I got a Shiny Voltorb which was new to me! Getting 3 100% IVs in the wild during this week was definitely great!
How did your Unova Week go? Did you get any of the new Shinies and some of the new Pokémon?
