To many, this game and computer is completely unknown. While visiting IGN Abu Dhabi couple of years ago, I saw this and it brought back memories of the first game console I ever owned. It is called Sakhr, which is an Arabized version of the MSX back in the 80's.
The game is called Konami Soccer, and was released back in 1985. So you can basically call it the spiritual successor to Pro Evolusion Soccer?
You start by selecting a team. All team members are the same, except they have different shirt and hair colors. Oh, and they all have mustaches!
You can play vs CPU or another player. On ball moves are dribbling, passing, and shooting. Offball you can slide to take ball off the opponent, or just walk and take it from him. The ball is passed to the blinking player. I can't quite recall how to change that. I think there was button for that. For aiming, an automatic moving arrow behind each goal keeps going up and down, and that determines where the ball goes when you shoot it. Goal keeper can make tiny jump to catch the ball.
Ohh... and it had offsides! Back then, this was huge! Here is a gameplay from YouTube to get a better picture.
