As much as I love playing classic console and arcade games, one genre I haven't gotten deep into is classic PC gaming. I have used archive.org to play MS-DOS games for my personal enjoyment and while streaming on @vimm or Dlive.
Now I will be investigating into what it takes to play some of these classic games. Quite a few of them were made when Windows 95 or 98 were the prevalent operating systems at the time. Now with Windows 10, almost all of these game do not run on the newer Windows.
So that is the reason for me to get information on virtual machines to run older operating systems and possibly DOS-Box to run many of the older MS-DOS games out there.
I have an older laptop that I will be doing all of this on in case I hose something up and have to wipe everything and start over.
So that is what's on the plate currently. Let's see if I can get er done.
