The Second Instalment. Things at XCOM command aren't getting any better. A stream of recruits who would be better aiming their shotguns at piles of marbles, and still managing to miss has entered Carter's squad.
In this mission, a university town is under siege by the alien invading forces. There's some exciting, albeit strangely balanced action packed missions.
We get to fight a Muton, a Sectopod, and a Gunship.
This is XCOM at its most condensed and abridged, and... its most terrible - the game is predictable... Gears of War in the XCOM universe.
The story is developing through the a singular keyword along the way, and character development is almost non-existent.
There's a lot to do, at the very least, and squad abilities are starting to be somewhat useful now that the gameplay is actually getting to be more tactically challenging, but AI is the biggest, most terrible implementation you'll ever see in a squad based shooter.
Absolutely, terribly, horrible and deplorable. Stupid people doing stupid things in stupid scenarios.
