It is becoming apparent that this isn't just a simple cover shooter.
This is a tactical, squad based shooter, in real time, where you control three individual soldiers in order to meet your objectives.
Instead of having cover, resources, and control points on the map as your weapons, cooldowns on your abilities are the main mechanic preventing you from utterly obliterating the enemy.
The enemy, of course has superior firepower, numbers, and intimidation - but the kicker here is taking down a superior force with smarter moves.
Again, squad AI is punishingly unintelligent, as the end of mission scorecard shows, with Carter, the player character, taking out more enemies by a factor of ten or more on a regular basis.
I think we're getting close to the end of this game.
