This may look polygonal today, but it was the hottest thing ever back in the 16 bit days. Star Fox was the first game to use the Super FX chip that could boost the Super Nintendo's power by a factor of ten and render 3D graphics inside the cartridge and send it out to the console for display.
Then this bad boy came out for the Nintendo 64. It came with a free rumble pack, but it wasn't really free because it was a really expensive game. It was the first time I felt a shake when getting shot, but it didn't work on games made before it came out and even some after.
What were they thinking with this cartridge cover?
I remember going to Nintendo.com every day to download whatever new game they were advertising for the N64. I drooled when I saw the video for this game. I couldn't wait to play it. I thought this was an N64 screenshot at first, but at second glance, it looks way to detailed. Which version is this?
If you are a younger person, is it funny to you how we were so excited to play a game that looks like this back in the '90s?
Here is a long video on Youtube of someone clearing the N64 version.
