First off, for regular readers, it is my pleasure to announce that my Daughter, Son-In-Common-Law and myself are still comfortably aboard Makina. It has been made particularly cozy due to the installation of its own little diesel furnace which keeps things very warm and comfortable.

With the installation of the Diesel Heater we were ready for the Alpha 2 Phase 2 launch of Ashes of Creation; which is a multi-player MMO game currently under development. We are participating in the capacity of test players. Phase 2 means that our previous test characters from Phase 1 were wiped (deleted) and we had to create new characters which should then be able to be played up until early spring.
My choice of character type was the same as that of Phase 1's play, ie an Elfish Ranger. He is presently on his way to making 12th level. The present max level is set at 25, yet the finished game will go up to 50 by my understanding.

Although the game is still early on in its development there is a lot of game to play with already. There are 3 of 18 biomes (geographical areas) to roam through; although 2 of the 3 are still under construction. To give an idea of the size of this world let us compare it to Amazon's fairly recent MMO release of New World. One of the three biomes of Ashes of Creation is the same size as the complete world found in New World. It will dwarf New World once all 18 biomes of Ashes of Creation are completed.

Needless to say, Ashes of Creation is a highly anticipated MMORPG developed by Intrepid Studios. It aims to offer a unique player-driven experience in a dynamic world that evolves based on player choices and actions.
