Age Of Rust launched their beta, with 4 BTC as the final prize, yesterday !!!
It was pretty fun, to come home to, and there were immediately quite a few differences visible.
nearly everything important is audio.
There's been come complaints about that, but I think it's an interesting mechanic (I'll be posting the "clues"/messages in D.tube, so everyone doesn't need to record it XD)
It is an AMAZING atmosphere. though at some points the background music can become very disturbing (cutting in and out randomly hurts ma brain).
Up untill now, me and the team in the Official AgeOfRust Discord have been wracking our brains over what appears to be the two first puzzles, if it isn't a single one.
The first one is an audio recording starting "Archon, this communication is not secure", and then going on to spout a LOT of numbers at a very fast pace, with distinct pauses in between some numbers.
here's the audio message, uploaded by yours truly. it includes a transcript of what we think we heard in it.
For now, we've tried a LOT of basic cryptography manoeuvers, like seeing if it's a simple number-letter substitution, rotating the letters thus obtained through a VIGENERE or ROT N algorithm, etc...
To no avail.
Oh, someone might have found something and kept it hidden, but I think the little community we've gathered on the Discord is pretty open to sharing information, and I've always valued co-operation above anything else :)
Many in the Discord believe the game should be solvable without external tools, like Audacity to manipulate this strange garbled message, but the fact that the screenshot above, when zoomed in, shows this:
Which clearly appears to be some sort of audio-manipulation device, makes me thing that either we need an external tool, or we need one of the Age Of Rust / Spells of Genesis cards.

Age Of Rust integrates Counterparty wallets, a currency called Rustbits, collectible cards and a 4 BTC final prize for the beta.
Owners of the cards, or certain quantities of Rustbits, get extra/different information from the environment.
There's supposed to be ways to get the cards in-game, so that those of us without the means can solve the puzzles too, but we have yet to figure that out XD
I hope you'll all join me in solving these riddles !
As an aside, SmartCash's tipping channel went bonkers this morning... decentralized and a few others dropped huge tips to the smartbot, which distributes it's tips in the 30-60 min after it has more than 100 Smarts, equally to everyone who's tipped it.

We named this event Typhoon Tuesday (As when the smartbot tips everyone, it's called "rain", but this was more like a hurricane or a... you get it... Typhoon ;) ).
