With the somewhat recent release of the Nintendo Switch, to many people the idea of buying a PlayStation Vita in 2017 might seem pointless. Its been over 5 years since the handheld released so why on earth would you want to buy one now? HENkaku: For those of you who don't know HENkaku is a homebrew enabler for the Vita (and Vita TV). To install it all you need is a PS Vita (running firmware 3.60), then through your PS Vitas web browser visit this site https://henkaku.xyz/ then click install and your done. So what exactly can you do with the homebrew enabler? Well you can do alot and here is a list of not all but some of the things you can do with HENkaku.
Run Emulators
Play homebrew games
Improve the Camera
Overclocking
Streaming from your PC to the Vita
Modding
Yarr!
And the list goes on and on
Thanks the the age of the Vita many talented programmers have managed to make the once unmoddable Vita moddable, with one of the major mods being HENkaku.
So there is the main reason why you should buy a PS Vita in 2017 and of course this is my opinion so feel free to write yours down in the comments.
