Unfortunately, I myself did not get to play the first series, so this review will be based on my opinion about the series both of them.
You are a Sourcerer with Unique Strength
You will act as a Sourcerer (the name for a group of people who can use Source magic) captured by the so-called Magister and will be taken to a prison on an island called Fort Joy. In the middle of a sudden journey the ship that took you and other prisoners attacked by Kraken to make you stranded on the island of Fort Joy. Arriving at Fort Joy, you discover that Bishop Alexandar turns out to be the brain behind your arrest and the other Sourcerers. You and some other Sourcerers have finally decided to take a trip to defeat Bishop Alexandar and find out the reasons behind your arrest and other Sourcerers.
Different from most RPG games, like the classic Divinity PC RPG game: Original Sin 2 offers a lot of freedom. All your actions will affect the main storyline until the ending. You can create your own character or play a character that already exists in the game with various options that are very influential in the course of the game. For example, feature tags ranging from Soldier to Scholar that you can choose in character creation will increase your options in interacting with the NPC. Make you have other options to negotiate with them. You can solve the problem peacefully or violently.

You will be greeted with amazingly beautiful music when you first play the game.
The main story is full of conspiracies and twist plots, but you can choose which path you will go through in the main story according to your own will. You can continue the game story in a different way, either peacefully through persuasive conversation, stealing the stuff you need, or killing all the existing NPCs. Unlike other RPGs with marked quests in the map, you will not find them in Divinity: Original Sin 2. You are given the freedom to look for side quests to the main story in the game by talking to almost every NPC in each area . You are only allowed to create scenarios according to the 3D map template that Larian Studios has provided. You also can not select a preset voice actor or create your own cinematic scene in this mode.
In addition to extending the life of this game after you complete the main story, the Game Master mode can also hone your skills to become a good game designer.
