I don't think that they will build protected mining gpus because it will cost them more than what they will gain. They would end up selling less gpus for a lower price which is not good for the bottom line. Yet the price will come down so I wouldn't buy now. Because the crypto market has plummeted, which will scare of miner but mainly because Nvidia was hinting that they were gonna release the 20 series gpus in march. which will further bring down the price because of the influx of gpus on the market.
