The history of Bloober Team begins in 2008, when they only produced games for other companies. The first one was released only in 2012. It was a game similar to the well-known Lemings , about arcade and logic mechanics . A-Men because it turned out to be an average game, and so said the players, but the money they earned allowed Bloober to spend their second game under the title of Deathmatch Village - a strategic-realistic reduction in the then popular MOBA system. In my opinion, both games are nothing special, especially that access to these games was limited platform on which they were released or PS Vita . But the beginnings are always difficult.
In the meantime, a creation called Basement Crawl which was a mixture of genres and other games such as Spy vs. Spy or Bomberman . The game was frankly hopeless, even its newer version BRAWL did not appeal to me.
The studio really showed what it can do only in 2016 thanks to Layers of Fear. Horror with a brilliant dark atmosphere told the story of a mentally ill painter who created his greatest work. The game was very well received, with average marks on Metacritic at 72 ( 76 User score ). After a short time the DLC called Inheritance was added, now all can be bought in a set called Masterpice Edition
Another big and famous game is undoubtedly the Observer released in 2017. The action of the game shows us a retrofuturistic metropolis (Krakow by the way), where we play the so-called observer at the service of the local police. Climate is excellent, although it is not a horror movie, more of a game of the genre of noir.
In 2019 Bloober Team released two games. The first Layers of Fear 2 , which turned out to be weaker than the first part, which resulted in less sales. The second is a classic in itself - Blair Witch , horror and adventure game in one, and most importantly, on a movie license .
They are currently planning to release one title, which will be released only in 2020, but so far is available as an early access, we are talking about the 2084 game.
