It's official Halo is finally getting a screen version of its popular series. This was in talks for a long time and looked like it was not happening. At first it was suppose to be a movie but now it is going to be a show. I played a couple of them and could see enough material there for a few seasons. And so far there has been an order for 10 episodes.
According to the article this will be done by Showtime and be a very ambitious title. When you are making sci fi in general you have a lot work to do with world building and it could get expensive fast. Plus with a fan base that is dedicated their will be pressure to get the show right. But still, looking at the quality of tv today it could be possible to have a great series.
I know I will tune in. At least to check it out. And this is not the only game that television and film are taking seriously. Mario is being developed by the studio behind The Minions movie. This was a franchise that was hard to make with live action actors but a minion-style movie could be great. I wonder if Mario will talk much? He is a face that could be a big hit in the summer.
Now how do we get a fallout movie?
