The Forest is a video game from the Steam company that belongs to the first-person survival horror genre.

The game consists of a survival book that allows us to see the types of constructions that can be made on the island, so that the main character and his companions can know what types of materials are needed, how many and how this structure will look.
The shelter of leaves: It is one of our first choices to want to shelter ourselves, being able to give us the option to sleep and keep the game, but it does not allow even (until they modify the patch) to cover us from the low temperatures of the night and rain, but it is easy to elaborate because it is only needed of leaves and sticks 26/16 units, materials that are easy to obtain, because they are in the surroundings of the forest without needing to use some tool, "good pretty pretty good".
The refuge: Its simple name does not limit it, it is something more complex than the refuge of leaves because it needs of sticks, stones and trunks 7/6/7 units of each one to be able to be elaborated, neither it allows to shelter from the cold and the rain but it has greater resistance than its previous construction and better aesthetic, with the great difference that we will need to cut down with the axe a few trunks before being able to construct it because it is one of the materials that it uses.
The small cabin: More resistant and complex, made entirely of logs but allowing the survivor to protect himself from the low temperatures of the night and the rains that can generate hypothermia and weaken him. 13 logs are needed to build it, but it has an entrance door and a window to see outwards, so we can appreciate the landscape (in fact we are more concerned about the presence of cannibals in the surroundings).
In this capture we can appreciate the ample space that it offers us, this small cabin and the facility of being able to create bonfires in order to maintain the temperature, something very important because as I mentioned before the survivor can suffer from hypothermia at night and especially if he or she is wet after getting into the water or getting wet in the rain, I prefer this structure to the previous ones because it gives greater protection and it does not take long to cut down some trees to keep them warm.
The wooden hut: This one is completely complex to realize because it needs an enormous quantity of trunks as minimum if you were realized at ground level since it allows to be able to create this hut at high levels, forming the structure on wooden pillars, allowing him a great field of visualization of the area that surrounds him and thus to perceive better from the distance the arrival of cannibals to his refuge to avoid being ambushed.
It also provides us with a very large space to be able to create fires, clotheslines, shelves and a wide variety of objects that will allow us to store materials and food inside the cabin.
Now we will look in the survival book for a section called "elevated structures" where we can see in the tab number 4, constructions that can be made in the trees.
All this allows us to be able to build without the direct attack of cannibals and wild animals, but not all cannibals because some groups have Molotov cocktails, which are the only weapons they can use to destroy our buildings.
The tree hut: I liked this one very much, because it has the ability to escape from enemies by climbing up the hut by means of the rope, allowing the survivor to avoid direct contact with nearby enemies. the huge detail is that if the cannibals have Molotov cocktails, they will easily destroy the structure (few cases, not all cannibals have these weapons but there is a possibility).
Tree hut supplies: In my opinion it is the most attractive and attractive cabin of the game, because in addition to giving you shelter from the heights, it allows us to shelter from the rain, to build bonfires to warm ourselves in the cold and humid nights, it also allows us a very wide field of visualization, for having a small balcony where we can lean out, which allows us a lot of space to create objects to store materials.
The shed: This construction works more like a boat, it does not allow you to store or sleep, but if you have mobility in the water, because it has a paddle to move from one side to another and has a very large space inside, to place objects to store materials, campfires for the cold of the night and windows to visualize the surroundings, I think it is very entertaining because it generates the emotion of a "motor home" but in this case, it is a watery house.
Besides allowing a means of escape from the cannibals and enough distance to prevent them from attacking us with Molotov cocktails, it is a pity that the game cannot be kept in it but not everything can be perfect.
