There is still a major component to my gap theory that I have not yet mentioned, something responsible for making the whole idea so clear and concise to me and without which I am not sure whether I would have ever stumbled upon the recognition of these gaps for my path. And that component is psychedelics.
Psychedelics can be a marvellous compass. An opening up of the senses in order to perceive more and to be better able to trust life in general because everything is so freakin' obvious all of the sudden. Painfully obvious.
And so these gaps on the dancefloor that I have been going on about for the last few days really started to become a mighty and unmistakable invitation by life itself - coded in physical gaps between a bunch of dancing people. It's not that we need psychedelics to see these gaps, or to make use of them. It's just that psychedelics gave the initializing thought, the concept and idea of how to make use of them and that these gaps might be there for a reason. To follow them.
LSD and psilocybin in the right dosage will make it plainly obvious what the invitation is (gap) and what the ideal answer might be (move there!). But not only that, one is able to better work with what that gap offers. One is better able to understand why that gap was calling for him especially, and how the dynamics changed after someone called decided to take it.
Imagine the dancefloor like a complex machine in which every moving part depends on the motions of another part to make the whole thing work. It is a dynamic, self-organizing and regulating conscious mechanism consisting of aspects infinitely complex in how they arrive at their own decisions (people and their behavior) that ultimately impact the entire "thing", the totality.
And so, psychedelics cannot only show these gaps in an unmistakable way, they won't only make the invitation plain and unavoidable, but they can help us better work with the new information we are given after deciding to take the gap or not.
If we said "no" the reasons (fears) for doing so will come up immediately after the gap has closed (meaning after it has vanished or someone else filled it). Direct Feedback. If we said yes we will encounter a somewhat more intense and magical level of experience at the place where we are now at, new faces around different styles of dancing, many surprises and most often: a good lesson, hint or even gift. Direct Feedback.
And so, in order to make use of gap theory to its fullest it is a great idea to take a low dose of LSD or Psilocybin, if only 10% or so of the regular dose, it doesn't have to be a blast. There is not much use in being blown away by the experience to the point of sensory overload. Better to sharpen the senses a bit and work with them, like a professional athelte might than to be drowned in input and mind overload to the point where gaps cease existing altogether in awareness of the physical and social environment.
I feel this topic, gap theory in connection with psychedelics warrants it own branch of science and research, but the way I see it noone else will do the work and so here I am doing it myself, with the help of a few good friends ready to climb new heights of experience on Earth.
What an amazing life!
