It's hard to believe it's been two months since I started this garden journal. I'm happy with all the growth so far with the exception of the carrots. I had a feeling they weren't in the best spot so that ok.

Like all updates in my garden journal, each one has the link to the update before it. You can follow them easily back to the very beginning. It's pretty cool to see the progress in imagery.
Oregon Spring Tomatoes
There were mistakes made in my original tomato seedlings. They didn't all make it and I decided to start over with some different varieties.
Two Oregon Spring Tomato plants did survive my initial blunders and are now thriving.
Hopefully, the Beefsteak, Red Cherry, and Early Treat come up as well. The sun is telling them, however, that the vegetation stage is over.
Zucchini Hybrid
We have 5 Hybrid Zucchini plants on a mound to the right of the tomatoes. They grew right over the carrots which were also chomped by some kind of critters.
I've been battling disease and white flys on these plants and bought an organic bug spray. It did seem to help but I think it'll be cheaper to make my own.
We have been harvesting some small sized, 6 - 7 inch zucchini. They were super tasty in a Indian Chicken dish my wife made the other night. Here you can a couple growing in the shadows on the plant farthest right.
And there's another shooting out on the plant far left. These Hybrid Zucchini plants should keep producing and getting bigger through the summer.
No Coconuts But We Have Limes!!
No cuts, no butts, no coconuts. But we do have limes for all sorts of uses that should be ready in a week or two. I already found a huge one hiding, so the hundreds of other limes can't be far behind.
The Lady Brought Home Some Herbs
We think we might be able to fit the herbs beside some of the smaller tomato plants. Basil needs around 6 hours of direct sunlight and then shade. The angle of the sun makes the lot close to our townhouse perfect for that purpose.
Last but not least is our new little mint plant, which will also go somewhere near the tomatoes. On a blistering day like today, an ice-cold water with lime and mint sounds incredibly refreshing.
In fact, I may have to see if I can go make a sweat breaking drink right now. Get ready limes!
Hope you enjoyed the garden, thanks for your attention, and.....
Happy Hiveing!!
