After much watering before the emerged downpour of the rain it was not too easy to manage the Pumpkin plant itself becas it is, the pumpkin needs a very loamy soil with little moist that will help to hold more soil and water for longer period of time. Despite all my effort to mak the Pumpkin plant grow more wider and bigger for both commercial purposes and family purposes as well the pest management system is not too active which causes loss of leaves on the plant.
The pumpkin plant itself is planted inside a big garden shed surrounded with plantain tree to provide more moist for the soil and also to shed the pumpkin plant from hash weather conditions and also to create more high survival rate for the pumpkin in the dry season to come yet the snails also known as the Pest invaded the garden and crush the green leaves into pit stains on every side of the plant.
There was no any other alternative for me to eradicate those snails causing smash on leaves, causing total ravage on the plant than to do hand picking method to eradicate them for now .
What will I do next? I think I will spray pesticides on the Pumpkin plant to serve as protection over any other Beatle, snails, termites and any form of attack.
I'm not too happy on this development on the farm because it took my time more than animals and it serves as investment for me commercially speaking.
The snails went deep to the extent of licking or I say eaten up the plant skin which shocked me When I saw it this evening.
