Last week, roaming around the gardening section of a hypermarket, I had an eye opening experience. I've been planning to buy a little cute cactus but somehow never got the right one or was busy to look, something always stayed in the way.
Last week I spotted these little cuties, displayed on the shelf, waiting for me to buy one. Just look at hem! How can you not love them, aren't they cute? With those little flower buds preparing to open!
At this point a voice in the back of my head said 'WAIT!!!" Just remembered my dear friend @ewkaw's post. She was once complaining about this scam that's going on with this little cacti. I remember her saying these flowers are glued to the plants.
And voila! Can you see the white glue between the plant and the flower? I can, clearly!
There you go, another one!
And another one! Did you know these flowers don't belong to the cactus? No? Now you do! And pay attention to this aspect next time you're planning to buy a cactus.
I can't stop asking myself why? Why is the seller doing this? What's the purpose of deceiving the customer by gluing dry flower buds to the cactus? Not to mention the damage that this glue causes to the plant!
If you have an answer, don't hesitate to tell me!
