The social distancing rule of 1.5 metres is a sound and sensible safety measure to stop any chance of a virus bug going from one individual to another. it was a clever tactic on the part of the Health specialists and the government to introduce to the public. The best news is that after 8 weeks of lockdown in Australia restrictions are easing.
Whoo Ooh, the country is opening up again and we have been given the green light to mix and mingle with a small group as long as we stay the 1.5 metres from our friends.

It is not that every social responsible individual does not want to do the right thing but the excitement is too much. It is so easy to fall into the trap that we are beating the coronavirus. It is that win win feeling spurring people outside to socialise. While we know that we can run amok and throw precaution to the winds, should we?
Should we err not the side of caution as much as we can? Like when we go to the shops and the markets should we be vigilant staying the distance away from other shoppers? Mostly people would if they could but there is a problem in these places. They generally have while one limited space available for large groups of people. It is a very real problem and is no-one's fault!
Here are some pics of shoppers get close and personal sent to me from a good friend when she visited the Central Markets in Adelaide last weekend.

I reckon they are doing the best they can given the small spaces in shops and markets. Maybe inside pockets and bags are hand sanitisers. Maybe they hold their breath when too close to somebody else. It is easy to forget the distance rule in these situations. Would wearing masks help? Maybe maybe not.
I just hope that the second wave of infections does not happen as predicted. But, I do think that we will never go back to the same easy way of shopping in big crowds again without many of us feeling some worry and apprehension. Maybe new rules will be introduced as time goes on or maybe people will get better at staying the distance after some more practice.
Stay well, happy and positive everyone.

Cheers and Blessings
