Board games are those that we can play on a board or that are arranged to share a flat surface such as the table (hence its name) and require the use of our mental skills to develop it.
Games take us out of boredom and in this time of confinement I know that many have served as entertainment. There are plenty of board games, strategy games, for two, for 4 or more people, puzzles, cards, dice.
Spending time with the family strengthens the union, children can also play as they streamline the mind and learn to solve problems mentally. If you have any of these games take good care of them since they are very useful when we least think about it.
Dominoes:
It is one of the oldest games and in its beginnings it was only practiced by men, now women have joined and they do it very well. This game is made of solid cards made of wood or ivory. 2 or 4 players. It consists of putting together a line with one of the two sides of the domino, starting the exit with the double six (double dinner) and the one that follows must place one of the 7 six that has the cards.
I love this game of Dominoes, I only had to explain it once to my grandchildren and even the 2-year-old knew how to play it. It is entertaining like the classic and for them it is more illustrative by the drawings.
Puzzle:
Within this range we have the puzzle pieces and the type books or notebooks. The puzzle is a game of mental agility and strategy where they must put together a drawing that comes cut with a peculiar cut, each piece fits into the other. There are puzzles of more than 1,000 pieces that are quite a challenge to do and when finished, they need ample space to assemble it.
This 500-piece puzzle we put together once between my daughter and me, it is very difficult because its pieces are very small and I even think we lost one.
The puzzles of notebooks or books are called letter finders, letter soup and it consists of looking for the list of words that you get inside a box with many letters, thus forming the searched word. These types of letter puzzles or crossword puzzles are highly sought after by travelers as they help you spend your time as you reach your destination.
The board games:
Among the board games we have the Chess which became the only board game that competes in the Olympics, where the player has to concentrate a lot to make each play and each contest can last for hours. There are also Ladies, El Ludo, Backgammon, Monopoly, El Pensable. These games consist of rolling one or two dice and moving the tiles on the board. And in the case of Pensable, you must create a word that combines with the other, like cross word.

Los juegos de mesa son aquellos que podemos jugar en un tablero o que se disponen para compartir una superficie plana como la mesa (de allí su nombre) y requiere de el uso de nuestras habilidades mentales para desarrollarlo.
Los juegos nos sacan del aburrimiento y en este tiempo de confinamiento se que a muchos les ha servido de entretenimiento. Hay infinidad de juegos de mesa, de estrategia, para dos, para 4 o más personas, rompecabezas, de cartas, de dados...
Pasar un rato en familia consolida la unión, también pueden jugar los niños ya que agilizan la mente y aprenden a resolver problemas mentalmente. Si tienes alguno de estos juegos cuídalos mucho ya que son muy útiles cuando menos lo pensamos.
El Dominó:
Es uno de los juegos más antiguos y en sus inicios era solo practicado por los hombres, ahora se han integrado mujeres y lo hacen muy bien. Este juego es de cartas sólidas elaboradas con madera o con marfil. De 2 o 4 jugadores. Consiste en ir armando una línea con uno de los dos lados del dominó, comenzando la salida con el doble seis (doble cena) y el que le sigue debe colocar uno de los 7 seis que tienen las cartas.
Este juego de Dominó Infantil me encanta, solo tuve que explicarle una vez a mis nietos y hasta el de 2 años lo supo jugar. Es entretenido como el clásico y para ellos es más ilustrativo por los dibujos.
Los Rompecabezas:
Dentro de esta gama tenemos los rompecabezas de piezas y los tipo libros o cuadernos. El rompecabezas es un juego de agilidad mental y estrategia donde deben ir armando un dibujo que viene recortado con un peculiar corte, cada pieza encaja en la otra. Hay rompecabezas de más de 1.000 piezas que son todo un desafío de hacer y al terminar, necesitan de un espacio amplio para armarlo.
Este rompecabezas de 500 piezas lo armamos una sola vez entre mi hija y yo, es muy difícil porque sus piezas son muy pequeñas y hasta creo que perdimos una.
Los rompecabezas de cuadernos o libros son llamados busca letras, sopa de letras y consiste en buscar la lista de palabras que te dan dentro de un cuadro con muchas letras, formando así la palabra buscada. Estos tipos de rompecabezas o crucigramas de letras son muy buscados por los viajeros ya que le ayudan a pasar su tiempo mientras llegan a su destino.
Los juegos de tableros:
Entre los juegos de tableros tenemos el Ajedrez, que se convirtió en el único juego de tablero que se compite en las Olimpíadas, donde el jugador tiene que concentrarse mucho para hacer cada jugada y cada contienda puede durar horas. También están las Damas, El Ludo, El Backgammon, el Monopoly, El Pensable. Estos juegos consisten en lanzar uno o dos dados y mover las fichas sobre el tablero. Y en el caso de Pensable, se debe elaborar una palabra que combine con la otra, tipo Crucigrama.

Juego de naipes, cartas o barajas son algunos de los nombres con los que se conoce este juego. Entre los juegos de cartas encontramos el Rummy, Ajiley, Black Jack, Solitario, Tarot. También están en la categoría de juegos de mesa. Este es el juego más usado por su facilidad de poder transportar un juego de cartas en la cartera a donde quieran y poder pasar una tarde amena jugando con las amigas.
Bueno después de tanto hablar de juegos me dieron ganas de una partida.
