I don't think there's a right way of writing this article, one that will make everyone understand my point without offending some, so I'm just gonna say what I have to say, hoping that some of the people reading this will get the idea of this article.
If you've been on the Internet for a while and you consumed a bunch of content, I'm sure that you've stumbled, at least once, upon a guy in the comment section of a video or game or article or anything, that decided to tell everyone how God is the only reason certain things are happening and how lucky we are to have Him watching over us.
I think that most of us can agree that those particular people are annoying, and not because they believe in a God or because they are grateful for what they received in their life, but because they decided to bring a topic not a lot of people agree with into a conversation about something unrelated to God.
I like to think of those people as being that annoying class mate we all had who thought it was his or her mission in life to tell the teacher about the homework or the test everyone had to take.
Nobody cares, nobody really wants to talk about that, but for some reason that particular person decides it's a good idea to bring that into the conversation.
Believing in something, like a God for example, is a great thing if it helps you deal with some things, or if it gives you meaning in life. I'm not here to discuss whether God is or isn't real. I'm here to tell you that constantly telling others about the God you believe in won't make anyone agree with you or suddenly change their belief.
If anything, mentioning God to some people who may have other beliefs or who maybe are atheists is not only making you look bad, but it always brings conversations about religion and belief that don't always end on a good note.
To use another comparison in order to better explain this, bringing God into a conversation that isn't about God is almost like that annoying guy who says "C++ CAN DO THAT AS WELL!" on a website where people talk about Python. Nobody cares, except that guy.
This article is not meant to insult your God or your beliefs, because what you believe in is none of my business. This is just a simple and (hopefully) respectful article meant to tell you, the person who doesn't yet know how the Internet really works, that compared to your workplace, your church or the place you live in, nobody really gives a damn about what you have to say, about what you think or how you believe the world should be like.
On the Internet, people aren't afraid or ashamed to tell you their honest opinions, compared to face to face conversations, and a lot of them won't care if the way they talk will offend you in any way, so keep that in mind before getting offended after someone insulted your God or something different you like.
People respect those who know how to keep their personal opinions or beliefs to themselves a lot more than you think. It means that that particular person understands that everyone is different and not every person is interested in certain things.
