8 mana has been wacky win on the spot cost since Arrandion was printed. I see no issue with scrappy in a world where Arrandion exists.
I've also only had it played be me once in the last week I think, and I just used removal to clear it and won anyway. It's a fun 8 mana card, and I still think it's not as good as Arrandion.
Better vs agro, but if agro gets to 8 without winning then they deserve to die.
The fact that it's the 5th most played card doesn't make it a problem inherently, is new and people want to play with the new cool stuff.
Control decks probably don't struggle to deal with it, and agro decks are dead anyway.
Play it at 6 mana via Azaiah and Alastrina and things are different, but the setup involved in that makes the payoff fine imo.
Scrappy rotation isn't that far behind. And I don't think it's as big a problem. I honestly think it's fine, unless we are resetting expected power levels down to pre Arrandion levels, if so then it's probably a bit good. I'm not fussed either way, but I really don't think it deserves to be changed.
There are other things in FA that concern me a little more.
Having said that I don't think anything is a seriously big problem.
Nerfing it slightly will still have this win games against the board, but I really believe it just gives too many bonuses, the +2/2 is just an overkill, the card could be toned down a bit.
Arrandion needs lot more setup too. I don't want the card to be killed, but giving it less conditional stats would mean it's a bit less of a problem to deal with after its initial big board-wipe effect. I don't think it doesn't need to be looked at.
