Google's Creates A Liquid Democracy Plugin

The Google corporation has introduced in new liquid democracy voting software available for their corporate Google Plus social media called Google Votes. Google Votes uses the traditional idea of liquid democracy where members of the voting system are able to delegate their votes to other voters if they do not wish to vote themselves.

Research has been done over many years following the analytics in seeing the effectiveness of the voting software. This would be a powerful tool given to the people if they were able to use Google Votes. Having a liquid democracy system like Google Votes for public social media like on Google Plus would make the possibility for grassroots organizations and all organizations for that matter to effectively organize very powerfully. Liquid democracy combines both aspects of direct and representative democracy creating a balance between the two types.There is no set release date for it to be used for the public but it is very exciting to feel that Google has been troubleshooting through their own corporate Google Plus social media system.

Unlike the open-source liquid democracy systems like Follow My Vote and Liquid Feedback, Google voter his owned privately by the Google corporation. With Google providing many resources to the public for public use it would be no surprise for them to offer Google Votes someday as a plug-in for Google+ users. With the analytics recorded over the few years of monitoring of the Google Votes, Google shows that the software is being effectively utilize and has run into no problems.

It is exciting to think that systems like liquid democracy could be seen more in our futures. From Google's analytics that showed that after the use of their corporate employees the majority of people were voting for themselves and only a small percentage or delegating their votes to people.
