Today has been an enjoyable and restful day.
Our first Sabbath with Daniel was great, the girls thought it was great that the baby was out of mamma. They haven't quite figured out how that works and we're not exactly explaining it to them. They are facinated with what is left of the umbilical cord. They were worried there would be a hole there.

We received a very nice flower arrangement from a friend. I like the blue theme!
My Father-in-Law made a special visit for breakfast.
There's an old saying "food is love" and this especially shows after a new baby is born. We had soup brought to us last night for dinner, my Father-in-Law brought over breakfast for us and visitors brought us lots of Tupperware full of food.

It's a very special time, just after a baby is born.
It's a time when things are taken care of for a bit while mamma recovers and the parents get to know their new little one. It's been a joy talking with my daughters about their new little brother. They already show him a lot of affection.
It's amazing to look across the dinner table and see FOUR little ones looking back at me. We are expanding and a wonderful rate and it will be great raising them up as they grow.
Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! Psalm 127:3-5
There is incredible strength in a close family. We always have each other's backs. We stand up for our parents, brothers and sisters. And great strength comes from seeking the will of God and doing it, that we may be part of the family of God.
Jesus replied, “Who is My mother, and who are My brothers?” Pointing to His disciples, He said, “Here are My mother and My brothers. For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.” Matthew 12:48-50
It is my job as Father to be the example God desires and to teach them His ways that through Messiah, they can have the Name of YHVH on their foreheads.
To all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God— children born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but born of God. John 1:12-13
It's one thing to try to make a name for ourselves, and take over the world by our stength, but it is in HIS strength (our weakness) that we will ultimately prevail and be adopted into the family of God.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms. For He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless in His presence. In love He predestined us for adoption as His sons through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the Beloved One. Ephesians 1:3-6
We are very far from being a perfect family, but if we cultivate and take care, pruning those things that are empty and worthless, fertilizing the ground, digging in deep roots, soaking in the rain from Heaven, then God will cause us to grow and bear good fruit for the Kingdom of Heaven!
How blessed is everyone who fears YHVH, who walks in His ways. When you shall eat of the fruit of your hands, you will be happy and it will be well with you. Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine within your house, your children like olive plants around your table. Behold, for thus shall the man be blessed who fears YHVH. Psalm 128:1-4
