Words of encouragement
There are persons who have been there for me when I was down. They have been a source of encouragement to my life. I am
grateful.
Life
I am grateful for being alive. Last year, a lot of wonderful persons I know left this world. It was sad but it made me realise that once people die, life goes on. Only few persons especially family will remember such persons.
After all is said and done, life goes on.
Last year, I came back from work, tired and exhausted. I was lost in thoughts, wishing for better days.
Then, I heard a loud scream from one of my neighbours.
It was strange hearing this woman scream, she is more reserved and keeps to herself.
The words "he has killed himself, come and see o" filled the air.
I came out of the house to see what's the noise about. Saw her and some of neighbours rushing to the other block of flats.
I rushed down there to see what was going on. To my surprise, I saw one of our young neighbours, lying in front of his room foaming from the mouth.
His neighbour was telling no one in particular how she found him on the floor, that he drank a whole bottle of sniper.
What! sniper!! The mosquito and cockroach repellent! What was he thinking? What made him took that decision?
Suicide!!! I thought it was only something shown in nollywood movies.
All attempts to revive the young man proved futile. He died on his way to the second hospital after the first hospital rejected him.
For days, I could not sleep. This was a young and promising man. He could play four musical instruments, he sings and plays piano at the same time. He trains voices and have a mini studio. Yet,he took his life.
I learnt something from that incident, no matter how one may feel that he or she has failed. There are persons who are praying to be in that your position.
Dear Lord, I am grateful for where I am today. I know I still want to get to the peak of success but I am thankful for the present and the future. Thank you Lord for making my life an inspiration to others and for making others' lives an inspiration to me

Saw some of my brother's drawings while re-arranging our books. Back in those days, he likes to draw the comic book characters in "supa strikers".
Now, he no longer draws. Dealing with school and work.
I hope he goes back to drawing someday. Such a unique talent he has.
I am thankful for the beauty of life.
