The Rising Price Of The Pokemon Card Greninja ex

Hi there. In this Pokemon TCG post I highlight the rising price of the Greninja ex card from Twilight Masquerade set.

From a previous post back in early June or July 2024 I covered the top 10 cards from Twilight Masquerade by market value. Greninja ex Special Illustration Rare was number one. The market price back then was just around 150 USD in near mint condition.

 

Here is the Greninja ex Special Illustration Rare card. It is a nice card. Some may not like the style of the art as it kind of looks like graffiti.

Rising Price Of Greninja ex

As I write this is on August 10, 2024. It is a few months since the international release of the Special Illustration Rare of Greninja ex. The price in June was 150 USD for a near mint condition card. As of early August, the market price according to TCGPlayer is around 292 USD.

 

This art card has almost done a +100% in price. A better gain than most stocks and cryptos in a two month period from June to August.

In the Toronto area this big local card game store sells this at 430 CAD as of August 10, 2024. It is sold out at the time of writing. Who are these buyers?? 🤔
