The spectrum of stupidity and ignorance among gun control advocates is vast. I can say with absolute certainty that I've never encountered a gun control advocate who could tell you why a double-action revolver isn't considered to be semiautomatic. Still, one can be forgiven for that level of ignorance -- not if the person is trying to pass laws, though. Obviously, the claim that a 9mm bullet will rip your lung out of your body is a whole new level of stupid.
Absolutely, yes, I do believe that the majority of people like Biden, who claim that they believe in the Second Amendment, and just want "common sense gun laws" really do just wanna ban guns. The reason why so many of these people wanna override PLCAA is to circumvent the Second Amendment by trying to drive gun companies out of business with frivolous lawsuits.
Of course, I'm glad that Brittney Griner is out of prison; but, if Biden believes that Viktor Bout was a fair swap, he'd be the worst general manager in the history of sports, or he's a morally bankrupt human being. We have up a first round pick for a future seventh. Still, Viktor Bout was trafficking guns to people who he knew -- we all knew -- weren't going to use them for target practice, hunting, or self-defense. Viktor Bout was selling guns that fired bullets much larger than 9mm. Biden passionately wants to ban AR-15s for you and me; but, apparently he's cool with actual machine guns being placed into the hands of foreign warlords.
What, you think that Bout is just gonna go back to Russia and open a McDonalds? Bout is fifty-five-year-old. He's got plenty of time to make plenty of money doing what he does best before retirement.
That's a lot of lungs being ripped out of bodies.
