Problem Statement:
- The problem people often face when it comes to managing their diet and making informed food choices is the lack of easily accessible and understandable nutritional information.
- Traditional methods of checking food labels or searching for nutritional data online can be cumbersome and time-consuming, especially when dining out or encountering unfamiliar foods. The modern lifestyle often involves consuming food on-the-go or in social settings where it may be challenging to track nutritional intake effectively. This can lead to overeating, consuming foods high in unhealthy components like calories and fats, and ultimately, contributing to health issues such as obesity, heart disease, and diabetes.
- The problem lies in the need for a convenient and intuitive solution that empowers individuals to make healthier food choices by providing instant access to accurate nutritional data in a visually engaging manner, whether they are dining at home, in restaurants, or on-the-go.

Our Proposed Solution
Our project aims to help the user to maintain his/her overall health by developing an application called “NutriFit“.

Visualizing the Food with AR
The app can project an augmented reality representation of the food items listed in the food menu and also displays the nutritional information onto the user's device screen.
Upload or click image from camera in real time.
It provides detailed nutritional information about any food picture uploaded or clicked by the user.
Tech stack used:
Android Studio, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android SDK, Rest API, Augmented Reality, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Yolov8, Roboflow.
Revenue Model
1. In-App Purchases for Premium Features.
Offer advanced features or access to an extensive database of food items and nutritional information through in-app purchases.

Collaborate with food brands, health organizations, or fitness companies to display targeted advertisements within the app

Collaborate with restaurants or food delivery platforms to integrate the app's features into their services.

Overall Experience of The program:
Overall experience of the program was really good! We enjoyed the presence, the mentors were good and supportive. Made good connections and got to learn a lot of things from the mentors as well as the participants. We also got to learn about a new blockchain technology called "Hive" and will definitely explore more about it. Overall, everything was taken care of and we are glad to be a part of Hacknovate5. Thanks to Hive, the organizers and all the sponsors who made this event a success!
