They say pain is temporary. What if that's not true? Life is all about hapoiness, finding it and trying to live it, just be happy, however it may be. Whether it be the job making money, the woman you love, kids, anything that makes you happy.
But think about it, pain is not that temporary, it begins moments after we are born. Most of us couldn't even breathe when we were born. Then there's pain, growing pain... learning, whether it be from parents or other kids, you learn and it can be painful, sticking fingers in sockets, jumping on beds, couches, roofs, etc. Most of us endured some of those pains growing up I would think, I know I did.

Then you hopefully learn from those things and grow, the teenage years...happiness? Where is that, it's full of pain...high school, puberty, dating, it's all new and your learning from all of this. All of the pain...late nights working after school, then studying late at night, just to wake up and do it again the next day. I myself, never did that, but what's the happiness? The check from working and being exhausted trying to keep good grades...pain. the dealing with having to either "fit in"with a certain type of people, or hope that you have friends from before who don't as well..or loneliness, no fucking happiness there, having to worry about grades. And for what? Dealing with all of this stuff in your early to mid teenage years all to? Go to college? Otherwise start working immediately.

Now, most of the people I know or knew in HS, couldn't afford college with their bank accounts nor their parents. So work was likely the option. Not much happiness there, you could maybe save up some money and take some college classes, and after even more years of doing the same painful thing that we have been doing since age 5, school, maybe get a better paying job. So now you work your ass off, for nowadays, will be about 50-55 years...YEARS. yeah you could catch some happiness in there, maybe wife kids, nice house, etc etc.. Dealing with all of that is a completely different type of pain and happiness. But then you retire, if you CAN EVER retire. You get a small pension or retirement from whatever job...and THEN it's happiness....around 75 years of mostly PAIN, searching for, and maybe getting some HAPPINESS in between there. Then the golden years....you could be happy, but then you are in physical pain, emotional, psychological pain, from everything you have endured through the years of the journey to the 20 (maybe) years you get at the end...which usually isn't very happy, nor pain-free.
PAIN IS NOT TEMPORARY, BUT WHAT IF HAPPINESS IS? Idk just thinking....weird! ?!
