Recently a couple of hours ago Steem had a hardfork to implement some new features.

Well, a couple of hours ago Steem had it 19th hard-fork and a large group of Steemians were either confused or skeptical about the hard-fork. But after the fork all i can see is minnows enjoying like they got whale powers. This is because most of the low payout posts mostly from minnow authors got a ridiculous increase in estimated payout.
Now, this increase is not for all because funds have to come from somewhere. So the posts with highest payouts and trending posts got a decrease in estimated payouts. This means that the top paying authors will now get lesser payouts. That will eventually help in decreasing the huge difference between the payouts that minnows and established authors made.
As a side-effect that will help in user retention on the network plus it will also help in faster growth of minnows. Please read my other post to understand HF19 in simple terms.
