Not even a week ago the only way to get into the alpha version of the game was to ask Tenzin Chiodak on telegram. That alpha access also meant you would be part of closed beta with the real prizes. However, the beta was delayed to December 2018 to tweak the game a little bit more and fix all the bugs.
Another reason why they did this is that they started a kickstarter campaign to showcase the game not just to the cryptocurrency community, but also to a gaming community with completely different perks that you can get by backing the project on kickstarter. They are smart for having an alpha version open for everybody so everyone is able to test the game before investing!
