So far 78 people have been caught in dengue this year in Delhi. However, this figure is very less compared to the year 2017, till the end of August last year, 435 people were in dengue. Due to the decline of Dengue patients this year, there is news of relief for the people of Delhi. Doctors say that dengue fever is in control right now. A lot of people are coming for treatment only. Due to the rainy season in Delhi, such dilemma of dengue prevents people from becoming scared.
Every year it becomes active in rainy days. Today there will be no family who has never had a dengue patient at home. People have started becoming antibodies against this virus. This can be a major reason for dengue decrease. One doctor said that no such effort has been made by the government regarding dengue, which has to be told that there has been a decrease due to it.
Mutation of virus is happening
When a virus is active in a particular season, the virus is slowly starting to mute. This may also be a reason behind dengue decrease. The doctor said that some such patients are coming, in which the symptoms are quite normal, but when the test is done, dengue is emerging. This shows that its seriousness has had a great effect. Dengue strain is also getting weak over time. He said that more viral fever patients are coming soon than dengue. Doctors say that the dengue season is not over yet. Dengue cases have been reduced but the virus is still active.
