There is a silent killer lurking among us, it's called stress!
It could be because of money, it could be because of health, or maybe it is because of a relationship, whatever the cause may be, we are very stressed out!
So just why does stress cause so many health problems and even death?
It is mainly because it is untraceable. Often, you do not even realize you are suffering from an overload of stress.
Here are some signs you may be under too much stress:
Aches and Pains That Are Unexplained
A little pain is often associated with everyday life but when it occurs often, it may be something to watch. This type of pain will happen when you are overly stressed.
Muscular pain will most commonly occur around the neck, shoulder, or back areas, and may be associated with poor sleep, although this is not always the case. Medication should not be relied upon for long term relief and should only be used temporary.
Frequent Infections And Colds
A major problem stress can give us is the negative impact on our immune system. Stress raises cortisol which suppresses the immune system and makes us more open to infection. This is definitely a problem during flu season and extra precautions should be taken.
Disturbed Sleep Patterns
Being over-stressed often leads to a disruption in your sleep. In fact, being strressed will enhance the neurochemicals noradrenalin and adrenalin which increases awareness.
This is fine in the morning but when you need to get some rest, this is a major problem. A use of heavy stimulants too late at night will cause a disruption in sleep also.
High Blood Pressure

Having high stress levels can lead to high blood pressure. An increase in blood pressure can cause blood vessel constriction and put added stress on your heart. This can lead to a life-threatening heart attack to occur.
No Sex Drive
When stress levels are high and cortisol increases, the testosterone hormone is supressed leading to a lack of sex drive. Testosterone and cortisol share a negative relationship because when one goes up, the other one will go down. If a young person, who previously had normal behavior, suddenly loses their sex drive, it can be a sure indicator of stress.
Mood Swings Or Easily Angered
It sure can be difficult to not get annoyed easily when stressed, causing you to get irritated easily and lash out at someone. If a person never showed this type of behaviour before, it could be stressed related. If this does happen, steps must be taken to reduce stress and try to relax somewhat.
Depression
Stress can have a serious effect on your well-being, especially when it starts to tear apart relationships. When you are stressed, you are more likely to pick fights, be irritable, or just feel constant pressure. This can lead to anxiety, depression, or feelings of disappointment. Depression is often very difficult diagnose, especially when there is not a strong support system.
Summary

If you find that you are experiencing some of these symptoms often, it is time to try and take a step back. It is important to do something you love, go for a walk, or take a short trip, to help regain your well-being.
