tiptoes in
looks around

Hi Hive. I'm not feeling super confident here, but I'm not giving up either.
I don't know if the same rules apply here that I'd gotten used to on Steem. I don't know when to upvote. (immediately? after 15 min?) I don't know how to sell my STEEM and SBD, and that's frustrating, but I know I'm not alone there.
I'm grateful for this community and its determination to remain decentralized. I'm grateful for people like @soyrosa who has promised to help me figure out a new way of doing things, since I tend to run away when things get more complicated.
Because, really, life is complicated enough.
But I recognize the need for Hive, and I'd rather learn a new thing than stay on a sinking ship with a dictator running the show.
I'm hoping to do a proper reintroduce-myself post soon. Not feeling up to it yet, but I just wanted to say hey to those of you who have become part of my world-wide family over the last couple of years. I'm glad I went to Steemfest when I did, that I got to celebrate with so many of you in Poland, and that I've seen others face-to-face at other meetups.
I hope you and yours stay healthy and safe during this uncertain, constantly-changing time.
Humans are adaptive creatures, and my hope is that the changes we make right now, and as 2020 rolls out, make the world a better place for everyone—animals, the oceans, the trees, our atmosphere, and people from every walk of life.
