Well its been a full week since the debacle known as Hard Fork 20 went live and well what do you know? We all survived it. Despite the problems, the prophecies of doom for the platform and hundreds if not thousands of posts lamenting what surely would mean the death of all things good and kind, we SURVIVED.
Funny how a little patience, maturity and willingness to see things through can go a long way huh.
Well as anyone who reads these updates will know, Monday is the League of Helpiness day over in the @helpie channel.
For those who don't know, this is a chat that takes place every Monday at 6pm EST and is hosted by @meno and @paulag.
The idea behind it is very simple, its a contest to see who has "helped" out the community the most in the week by posting, commenting, upvoting, increasing their steempower and various other metrics.
The more you grow your account and help others grow theirs the more of a "helpie" you are :)
Before we get into the results just a couple other things to mention.
@themarkymark presented a new initiative he has been working on called Helpie Fan Club. Sounds like great things are coming with this one. You can read the intro post here : I love @helpie!
@paulag also demonstrated a tool she likes called Beempy
This is another tool that will help you see how far your RC will go. It will give you an estimate on how many posts, comments, transactions you can make, what the estimated cost of each is, how long until you recharge and other useful pieces of data you can use to manage your RC.
A sample of the output is presented below:
So this weeks results were interesting due to the effect that the HF20 had on peoples abilities to post. The reigning champion was dethroned after 4 long weeks atop the charts.
The Queen is dead, long live the King. Or something like that.
Somehow I don't think @eaglespirit will take this lying down and will most likely be back with a vengeance next week folks.
We also had a lot of new users join the league this week and welcome to them all.
This weeks results were:
Very close race this week for the top 2 spots but congratulations
@cryptoandcoffee who takes first place and the top price of 10 steempower
@ancientknowled3 came in second this week, moving up 1 spot from last weeks finish and wins 6 SP
and finally a newcomer to the top 3, in third place was
@vladivostok taking home the 3rd place prize of 4 SP
Let's see if things stay this way next week or if the former reigning champion regains her place on the throne. Exciting times ahead folks.

Want to be part of helpie?
We are always looking for new members, people that understand the value and power of communities. Givers, not takers. If that sounds like you, then we want to get to know you too. Know that we always have scouts out there, looking for people who make awesome content, who are kind to others and believe in this blockchain.
Here's an incomplete list of scouts: @paintingangels @eonwarped @zipporah @socent
There plenty more, and many of them hangout in the mothership Peace Abundance and Liberty Network. So, if you are on discord, this is the ocean you would want to be swimming in.
