As mentioned in my post from yesterday, I've adjusted all my auto-votes to vote after 4 or 5 minutes and it seems that it is paying off already! Just went through my outgoing votes on Steemworld, when I noticed that I'm earning a shit-ton of Steem Power per post now. The curation rewards on @fullcoverbetting's post above really takes the cake though, I'm earning more on that than my upvote was worth. I'm auto-voting him after 4 minutes by the way, instead of the supposed ideal voting time of 5 minutes.
Not weird when you know that author and curation rewards are nicely split in the middle at 50% each. Keep in mind that these types of curation rewards are now kinda the norm for me, the example above isn't that much of an outlier.
I'm by no means a whale, but I do have around 14,000 Steem Power at my disposal, which isn't actually that hard to get a hold off with current Steem prices. If you yourself have the means to make some investment into Steem, I'd say go for it!
I'm guessing that after some fine-tuning, I'll easily make around 6 - 8 Steem per day from curation rewards alone! These are just rough estimations, based on what I earned before (see image below).
I understand that some of you might not really like these changes all to much, especially if you don't have that much SP to play around with. Do keep in mind that larger accounts might now be more inclined to vote on your posts, because they stand to earn quite a lot by just voting.
I know I'm going to manually curate a lot more as soon as my VP allows it, that type of curation will mainly be reserved for posts of people I haven't interacted with in the past. It's extremely important for me that my votes go to as many people as possible!
