Last week, to celebrate our 6-month anniversary, we at @heyhaveyamet decided to do a month's worth of contests ( Visit the original contest post HERE ). We asked people to explain what the Hey! Have Ya Met...? project meant to them. We had ten entries and they were all so very good; really giving us a hard decision to make.
All of us at @heyhaveyamet and @steemterminal read over each post and voted on the three we liked the best. Then the three with the greatest number of votes was voted on by each of us. It was extremely close and there was a difficult choice to make. Two posts had the exact same number of votes so I had to get an impartial volunteer to chose between the two. Scott from @xcountytravelers read both posts and chose the post he felt was best suited to win this contest.

Instead of only one winner, we have been given an opportunity to award 2.5 SBD to the person with the next to the most votes. Therefore, present the winner of the 2.5 SBD prize @angelro. You can view @angelro's entry @HERE. Angelro completely understood why we titled the posts Hey! Have Ya Met...?

Having been a Steemian for a year, life did as it always does and he was called away. After a time, he came back and made a "reintroduction" post which is where he came to meet us @heyhaveyamet. We are very happy to have him back within the blockchain. Thank you so very, very much for your kind words.

We are so extremely happy to announce the winner of the Hey! Have Ya Met...? Anniversary Conest - Week One Winner!

@deldesir was able to express what we at Hey! Have Ya Met...? and at Steem Terminal are all about. We are about helping, teaching and encouraging the new people of Steem. It is not only frustrating for the new people, but it is frustrating for all who welcome many into the blockchain, but see so many disappear. Fortunately, we have the benefit of getting to know those who decide to stay and engage through post and discord server.
We can often be found wading through the many posts that are tagged "introduceyourself" so we can help you find those new accounts faster without having to sort through the posts that are miss-tagged, advertisements, and scams; but it is also for the new people who are trying to figure out how the world of Steem works. We are always looking for those posts that are asking questions and requesting information.
@Heyhaveyamet, @BrittandJosie and @xcountytravelers are doing this as a team to help new Steemians getting guidance and exposure. They also have a Discord server (Steem Terminal) set up to discuss and answer all questions one may have regarding steem. I met some cool and intelligent people there. They have a funny way of approaching situations with humor. They have team spirit and have big plans for new Steemians. I am grateful they have found me.

One of the things many of us really liked about @deldesir's post was that he picked up on the team spirit and we had fun working together to help those who visited and those who have chosen to stay for a while. One of the best parts about this team is that we all have many different ways of helping and often humor abounds. It makes it a great place to learn, encourage, and engage.
Congratulations on your win! We will get the 5 SBD in your account within the next 24 hours. We so appreciate your kind words and joining in our little contest. Please remember there is another one going on this week; Visit the contest post HERE .
