Has it ever happened to you that you used your USB on a PC that was not yours and when you checked it on your PC, your documents did not exist anymore? As if they had been deleted.
DO NOT FORMAT YOUR USB
To begin with, your files were not deleted, they were only hidden, the virus only hides files but does not delete them, so you can recover them.
This type of virus, usually have an autorun.inf, which will be automatically activated when you put it on any pc, are associated with .dll, .scr, .lnk .exe, can be under several names but those are its extensions.
All the following steps, try to do it on a PC that is not infected, because the PCs of the colleges, universities and others, do not allow them to have permissions to do several things, so at some point they may not allow them to do so.
FIRST STEP
Go to start and then go to execute, or in such case press on the keyboard, the start button (the one with the microsoft windows logo) and then press it together with the R (wind + R) key, or you can look for CMD on the screen.
SECOND STEP

THIRD STEP

FOURTH STEP
If you did everything right you can enter the address of your USB and see something like this:

SOME OBSERVATIONS
1.- Try not to use the same PC where your USB is infected
2.- Do not run dubious .exe files
3.- If your files were hidden, do not download programs from the web that do not confirm that these programs are useful, since they usually come as if they were your solution, but it could be your loss and you could do nothing more than format your usb and lose your information.
