What are your plans in the coming holiday week? Come and discover Surigao del Sur's hidden gems!
Hello, hivers! In this blog, its another hidden gem. Another tourist spot that I’ve almost missed about. The Hinayagan Cave. Way back last year, I and my cousins decided to go here in this marvelous hidden cave. The Hinayagan Cave, located in Bislig City. And we have witnessed the beauty of the cave. Although it is small, it is incredibly authentic.
With sunshine flooding in from the central ceiling, Hinayagan Cave is a lovely cave to explore.
There is light within the cave's top, which features a sinkhole. Some areas of the cave are dimly light. We simply traveled a short distance before we reached the sinkhole. Where the view from the underworld is stunning.
Hinayagan Cave is another tourist attraction for those seeking adventure in the depths of the ground. As you moved inside into the cave, you were surrounded by natural creations you had never seen before. It was really enchanting. When going through an entrance, I was taken aback by the splendor of the area inside, which was enormous and light up in the center.
Its original name was Suhoton, but it was altered to avoid confusion with other caves in the country with the same name. Because of an entrance in the cave's mid-ceiling, the locals termed it "Hinayagan," which means "light."
The root word of Hinayagan is Hayag, which means light in English.
Hinayagan Cave was previously known as "Suhoton Cave," after the local term "suhot," which means "to pass through inside," and was discovered by a hunter chasing a boar at the time. Since then, the locals have thought of it as a place where their gods reside.
The first cave entrance, with mini-falls and creek water flowing in. The cave's center ceiling has an aperture that allows birds and other winged animals to fly in and out. It also includes a large swimming area that leads to the second cave's entrance. There's also an underground river where you can swim.
The second cave is too high and there is a waterfall in the middle. If you are not an adventurous person, this can be quite frightening.
So, these are my relatives exploring with me.
