Education in the era of Ancient Chinese civilization
The community in Chinese civilization values education, business and literature with the main aim of education is to pass government examinations.
There are three governmental education, namely primary, secondary and tertiary education. At the primary level, education focuses on recognizing and memorizing the writing of ideograms and nine holy books without understanding the meaning. At the secondary level, the focus is on literature and literature, and at the highest level the focus is to translate the holy book.
This public examination is strictly controlled. Those found to be imitators are subject to death. To ensure no fraud, the examiner will be locked up before the examination day. Those who will take the exams will be placed in the room with food, and they will be locked up for three days to write the answers.
The public examinations contain three levels, the first level 'Hsiu Tai', second level 'Chun-Jen', and third level 'Chin Shih'. The first level is equivalent to the first degree, the second degree is equivalent to the degree and the third degree is equivalent to the philosopher as it is in modern times.
The first stage examination is conducted in the district, the second stage, in the provincial capital and the third stage in the empire capital housed in the palace, which is in front of the emperor. Those who pass the level or first degree will be able to become government officials and the third degree qualify as educators.
First level public examinations are held twice within three years while the second and third level public examinations are held once every three years.
China's public examination system is the oldest in the world.
