Just on the outskirts of Milan there is this amazing abbey, called the Chiaravalle Abbey, which is 900 years old! There are monks living inside who pray, chant and regularly give mass. The abbey was established by French monks in the 11th century and the church is really beautiful. I highly recommend anyone to see it, if you are in Milan. It is easy to get there, using the subway by getting off at the Corvetto station (yellow line) and then the 77 bus. Take a look for yourself and enjoy!
