The last Battle of Tgk Chiek diPante Geulima (Ismail Bin Yacob) with the Dutch occurred in 1873, thousands of students when it turned into military forces to fight for the land of Aceh from the colonial. The last battle took place in Bateè Iliek.

It took tens of years for the Dutch to seize the Bateè Iliek from the power of Tgk Chiek Pante Geulima One of the Dutch generals even was built by the failed to seize the area, he was named Van Der Heijden. His eyes were blindfolded by an army of Acehnese troops releasing fire from Batee Iliek fortress. This failed to create Van Der Heijden and was built by the Governor-General of the Dutch East Indies. Dutch leadership sticks were subsequently handed over to General van Heutsz who had been appointed military governor or commander of the occupation army in ACEH.
