- In Prague, the Czechoslovak Republic was proclaimed. First President is Tomá Garrigue Masaryk.
- The beginning of November from German imprisonment dismissed Jósef Klemens Pilsudski assumes in Warsaw from the hands of the Regency Council political power.
- The British government in London decides on the recognition of the anti-Bolshevik government of the White Guard General Alexandr W. Kolchak and support of the fighting also against the Soviet government General Anton I. Denikin.
