This is my first post in this wonderful community, which highlights the problems we encounter ourselves. Although we may criticize others for doing the same, this community can seem like a mirror that allows you to shine a light on yourself, not just for regretting and grief, but also for self-improvement.
In fact, I want to highlight the fact that I may be an asshole for not appreciating my time. Time is like a train that moves quickly, never goes back, and cannot be stopped. All you have to do is try to run with it, otherwise you will miss out. I have found myself wasting time a lot, even though I may not like it, but I do it semi-consciously, as many hours pass without counting.
I don't really like wasting time, and I don't waste it intentionally, but the abundance of distractions around us has made wasting time easy. It's ironic that we use the term "entertainment" instead of "wasting time," as if we don't appreciate its value at all.
Many hours pass while I browse social media or watch football matches. At the end of the day, I realize I haven't done anything useful or gotten my work done. I've simply wasted time for no reason. This happens a lot. I find that I simply need to start something and I'll get it done, but as long as I don't start, I ignore it for no reason.
So, I'm trying to find a solution to this problem by writing a list of daily tasks. I've found this very helpful. I write down my priorities first, then I complete them one by one. Whenever I finish, I check off a checkmark. I find this method very encouraging.
I've discovered that time isn't just money, it's priceless. The impact of accomplishment and not wasting time gives a wonderful feeling, even better than rest and entertainment. In this day and age, those who value time and how to preserve and utilize it prevail.
