On Monday I stayed home until mid-afternoon because I had some unfinished business. Between one thing and another, lunch time came and I had nothing ready. I opened the fridge and thought: what can I do with this? There was only: a little bit of garlic, a sprig of chives, a small jar of capers and some pasta. Immediately, I looked for a can of tuna, and that's how, without planning it, I ended up preparing a different, quick and absolutely delicious pasta.
Without further ado, let's go through the ingredients and the preparation.

El lunes me quedé en casa hasta la media tarde porque tenía algunos pendientes. Entre una cosa y otra, llegó la hora del almuerzo y no tenía nada listo. Abrí la nevera y pensé: ¿qué puedo hacer con esto? Solo había: un poco de ajoporro, una ramita de cebollín, un frasquito de alcaparras y un poco de pasta. De inmediato, busqué una lata de atún, y fue así como, sin planearlo, terminé preparando una pasta distinta, rápida y absolutamente deliciosa.
Sin más, vamos con los ingredientes y la preparación.
Ingredients (for 2 persons)
- 200 g pasta (spaghetti)
- 1 can of tuna in olive oil lightly drained
- 3 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
- Finely chopped chives and garlic and leeks
- 1 tablespoon capers
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Grated white cheese
Ingredientes (para 2 personas)
• 200 g de pasta (espaguetis)
• 1 lata de atún en aceite de oliva escurrido ligeramente
• 3 dientes de ajo finamente picado
• Cebollín y ajoporro picados finamente
• 1 cda de alcaparras
• Sal y pimienta al gusto
• Aceite de oliva extra virgen
• Queso blanco rallado

Preparation.
We must begin the recipe by cooking the pasta in salted water, according to the instructions on the package, it is best to leave it al dente.I already had some in the fridge and used it for this dish.
For the Sofrito
In a large pot, add a splash of olive oil. Sauté the garlic, chives and leeks until they become transparent and the aroma permeates the kitchen, about 2-3 minutes.
Add the capers. Cook for about 4 minutes more and add the tuna and mix carefully so that it does not break up completely. Then, add the pasta to the pot and mix well so that it is impregnated with all the flavors. Add salt and pepper and serve with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and grated white cheese on top to crown it.

Preparación
Debemos comenzar la receta cociendo la pasta en agua con sal, según las instrucciones del paquete, lo mejor es dejarla al dente. Yo ya tenía un poco en la nevera y la usé para este plato.
Para el Sofrito
En una olla grande, añadimos un chorrito de aceite de oliva. Sofreímos el ajo, el cebollín y el ajoporro hasta que transparenten y el aroma impregne la cocina, más o menos unos 2-3 minutos.
Añadimos las alcaparras. Cocinamos unos 4 minutos más e incorporamos el atún y mezclamos con cuidado para que no se deshaga completamente. Luego, incorporamos la pasta a la olla y mezclamos bien para que se impregne con todos los sabores. Ajustamos de sal y pimienta y servimos con un chorrito de aceite de oliva extra virgen y queso blanco rallado por encima para coronarla.

I felt satisfied because I managed to solve with what I had on hand and I had a delicious lunch. Once again, pasta is the dish with which we can turn everyday life around with a little creativity.
Me sentí satisfecha porque logré resolver con lo que tenía a mano y almorcé delicioso. Una vez más, la pasta es el plato con el que podemos darle vuelta a la cotidianidad con un poco de creatividad.
