Greetings everybody, it seems like an eternity since I last posted in this community, but today I am back to share with you guys another 'lazy' recipe.
Ponche Crema is sort of the venezuelan take on the eggnog, a traditional drink and it's not rare to find it on special celebrations. That is why I decided to make some to share at the family reunion for mother's day celebration.
To prepare 3 liters I used the following ingredients:
-Three sachets of vanilla pudding.
-Three boxes of condensed milk.
-One liter of milk.
-A bottle of rum.
Un saludo a todos por acĂĄ, me parece una eternidad desde la Ășltima vez que compartĂ en Ă©sta comunidad, pero el dia de hoy me encuentro de vuelta para compartir otra receta 'para flojos'.
El Ponche Crema es mas que bebida, una tradicion para los venezolanos, por lo que no es rara su presencia en las fechas y celebraciones especiales. Es por ello que para la reuniĂłn familiar por el dĂa de las madres decidĂ llevarlo para compartir con todos.
Para elaborar tres litros utilicé lo siguiente:
-Tres sobres de pudĂn de vainilla.
-Tres cajitas de leche condensada.
-Un Litro de Leche.
-Una Botella de Ron.
The first thing I did was to prepare the pudding, for this I used 250ml of milk for each pudding sachet, dissolving the content while mixing constantly in a big pan. When it started to thicken I turned down the flame, served in a big bowl and let it sit for a bit before putting it in the fridge.
Lo primero fue preparar el pudĂn, para ello utilicĂ© 250ml de leche por cada sobre de pudĂn, disolviendo el contenido por completo mientras mezclaba constantemente en una olla grande. Al empezar a espesar apaguĂ© la llama, lo verti en un envase y dejĂ© reposar un poco antes de refrigerar.
After two hours I took out of the fridge and divided on three batches to blend, for each part I added a cup of rum and the content of a box of condensed milk. After turning off the blender I served it in a separate bowl.
Al cabo de unas dos horas retire del refrigerador y dividà en tres partes iguales para licuar, por cada parte añadà una taza de ron y el contenido de una cajita de leche condensada. Al terninar de licuar lo fui colocando en un envase grande.
After blending and having it in a big bowl, I stirred with a spoon and tasted to see if it needed more rum (it did), and I added half a cup of rum and then it was perfect.
Then, with the help of a funnel, I poured in three separate glass bottles I previously had washed with hit water. I made a little more than three liters because I had some left in the bowl, and I served it in a glass with lots of ice.
Al terminar de licuar las tres partes y tenerlo todo en un envase grande, mezclé con una cuchara y verifique el sabor para ver si faltaba un poco mås de ron, y añadi media taza mås y estuvo perfecto.
Luego de esto con ayuda de un embudo lo verti en tres botellas de vidrio previamente lavadas con agua caliente. En total fue un poco mĂĄs de tres litros pues en el envase me quedĂł un poco que me servĂ en un vaso con mucho hielo.
And it was done. I put it in the fridge until the soecial day came and I shared it with my loved ones.
